The Ethiopian Government signed a set of agreements with China's Internet giant, Alibaba Group, to join the Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP), an Alibaba-led initiative aimed at lowering barriers to global trade for small and medium-sized enterprises through e-commerce.
The second eWTP hub in Africa after Rwanda will serve as a gateway for Ethiopian products to China and new markets, enable Ethiopia to provide smart logistics and services and support talent training, amongst others.
