According to a news report, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Federal National Council (FNC) has given approval to a federal draft law on consumer protection during a virtual parliamentary session. The draft law seeks to, among other things, address issues bordering on consumer rights, consumer protection, and data security. Additionally, the law seeks to ensure that a safe environment exists for purchasing commodities and services with access to the right product information.
