Facebook took down three different networks for violating its policy against foreign or government interference. The networks were from France and Russia and aimed at several countries in North Africa, including the Central African Republic, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Algeria, C?te d'Ivoire, Chad, and other countries from the Middle East. In all these cases, individuals behind the networks co-ordinated with one another and used fake accounts to mislead users. Facebook reported that was the first time that its staff found two campaigns (from France and Russia) actively interacting with one another by befriending, commenting, and criticising opposition.
