French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has confirmed that G7 finance ministers 'are just one millimetre away from a historic agreement', after the first of a two-day meeting in London.
In a letter published inThe Guardian, France, Germany, Italy and Spain said that the two-day meeting will bring the countries' finance ministers closer to a global agreement which is expected to be cemented at the G20 summit in July.
Earlier this year, the US' Biden administration proposed a global minimum corporate tax of at least 15%, and said the tax would eventually extend beyond the tech sector.
