The Integrated Health Information systems (IHiS) in Singapore is reported to be piloting iThermo, an AI-powered temperature screening tool, to identify those having or showing symptoms of fever. Amid the growing Coronavirus threat, Singapore raised the alert level of the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) from yellow to orange, which means that Coronavirus spreads in the country but is contained. iThermo replaces the need for manual temperature screening, therefore it reduces both time to conduct temperature screening and the exposure risks to viruses of medical staff. The AI powered solution can recognize human facial features from thermography to measure temperature of the forehead. Status reports and real-time updates are available on the dashboard that can be connected to multiple cameras at different locations. It enables remote status monitoring at respective sites.
